Ciorcal na mBan translates to women’s circle. Magic happens when women come together with open hearts, rooted bodies, and clear intentions. According to the Celtic wheel of the year, Samhain is one of the cross quarter days, marking the transition into winter. This is a time when the veil is thin and we can connect with our ancestors and wisdom beyond the physical world.
Samhain is also associated with the cailleach, which is an Irish word for wise woman; she’s sometimes known as the Queen of Winter. The cailleach is a symbol of transformation, strength, and reminds us of our connection to the natural world. Connecting with the cailleach invites us to tap into the power and wisdom of nature, reclaiming our sovereignty on earth.
Winter is a time to go inwards and gestate our dreams and allow ourselves to deeply rest and trust the process. We will have a fully female space to connect and tune into our bodies, the goddess within us, and rhythm of the earth to prepare for winter season.
