the shortcut to healing 

For years I struggled with an autoimmune condition, gut issues and hormone imbalances (PCOS & Hashimoto's hypothyroidism) and Western medicine proved limited in its options for true healing - I was only offered treatments to mask symptoms but not true healing at the root.  I refused to accept this as an ultimatum and this started my healing journey.  I went through years of restrictive dieting (cutting out gluten, dairy, sugar), cleanses, herbal supplements, reiki, acupuncture, family systems, and working with shamanic healers.  All of these experiences have influenced my healing journey and I've learned healing must be addressed on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels to uproot the core imbalance.  Breathwork has been the most consistent practice I return to as it works on all four levels for true healing.  Since committing to this practice, I have been able to travel around the world without needing to worry about dietary restrictions or needing any medication.  For over five years, my bloodwork consistently is showing healthy levels - no signs of PCOS or Hashimotos, despite Western medicine telling me it was not possible to heal them.  
I've learned there is no magic fix, it's not a one and done but building a relationship with our body where we listen and respond accordingly.  The body knows how to heal itself and only you can be the one to set the causes and conditions for it to do so.  You are your own greatest healer.  While others will come along your path as an inspiration, a messenger, a spaceholder, a mirror, at the end of the day you have to choose to take responsibility for your own healing and do the work to clear your field of blockages.  This is why I love breathwork practice - the power is in your hands, you do the breathing, allow your body to open and release.  No forcing, no pressure, no need to pathologize, or re-hash old experiences.  You just surrender to your body and trust its own intelligence to bring itself into balance with your presence and awareness.  It truly feels like the shortcut to healing. 

what to expect in a session:             

Deep relaxation, reduced stress, improved physical health, increased mental clarity & sharpness.  
Laying down in a comfortable space, we engage in a rhythmic breathing pattern to deeply relax and drop from the mind to the body where we connect deeply with the earth below us and transcendent support all around us.  From this stillness, we can feel what our body has been holding onto and let it go.  On the other side, there is a sense of lightness and relaxedness as well as more vividness and clarity in the world around you.  Regular breathwork practice has tremendous physical health benefits, helps us regulate our nervous system and clears out the clutter in our mind so we can step into action with clarity and contentment.  It's like 10 years of therapy in one session, the body just lets it go.  
Classes are a great way to try it out and the energy of the group can be very supportive in our healing experience.  There is music playing and the group receives cues and guidance together.  The individual sessions allow you to go deeper and receive specific cues and guidance to support you in releasing anything stuck in your field.
